To all Chairpersons and Members of Employment Insurance Boards of Referees
Subject: New Question Added to the Electronic Claimant’s Report.
We are writing to inform you of a new question which has been added to the Electronic claimant’s report effective November 22, 2009.
Claimants are now being asked:
‘Were you outside Canada during the period of this report?’
The addition of this new question provides a claimant with an opportunity to report any absence from Canada.
It also answers a long standing concern expressed by Board of Referees members and claimant advocacy groups.
