1.1.2.1 Independence

According to the Supreme Court, there are two aspects to judicial independence: an institutional aspect and an individual aspect.^{102 Citation 102} One concerns the status of the tribunal and the other the state of mind or attitude of the tribunal in the known exercise of its judicial or quasi-judicial functions.
