1.1.2.1 Independence
According to the Supreme Court, there are two aspects to judicial independence: an institutional aspect and an individual aspect.102 Citation 102 One concerns the status of the tribunal and the other the state of mind or attitude of the tribunal in the known exercise of its judicial or quasi-judicial functions.
